Yves’ many years of experience in bilingual education and his appreciation for new and innovative teaching methods were recognized by the French Ministry of Education in September 2008. Evelyn developed the ELA curriculum for Grades one through four at EINY.   With a passion for history and geography, she integrates all areas of the ELA curriculum while employing a project-based learning approach to teaching social studies. In addition, she applies hands-on manipulative-based programs in both mathematics and science.

Evelyn’s affinity to foreign languages began as the daughter of bilingual parents. She is a first generation American with her mother a native of France and her father a native of Spain. Evelyn, well-traveled and living abroad for some years, believes that a bilingual education is vital in our global world today, and at EINY she can pursue her strong conviction of bilingualism.

Prior to teaching, Evelyn held various positions in marketing, sales, and product management in international companies in the financial information service industry. This prior experience regularly reminded her of the importance of bilingual education.
