Go Dallas! Multilingual Theater Festival of the Mission Laïque Française

our 7th and 8th graders will participate in the Multilingual Theater Festival of the Mission Laïque Française in Dallas

For the 3rd consecutive year, our 7th and 8th graders will participate in the Multilingual Theater Festival of the Mission Laïque Française in Dallas. This is the 11th consecutive year that the International School of Dallas, headquarters of the Mission Laïque Française of North America, has organized this festival, which will take place from Wednesday, May 9th through Saturday, May 12th, 2018. 13 students will have the unique opportunity to travel to Texas to present their theater piece in this prestigious festival!

The festival takes place over the course of 3 days as students participate in drama workshops led by professional actors and theater directors, thus enhancing their learning experience. The play will be written and directed by the French and Theater teacher M. Le Martelot and the students during their theater class in the second semester. The weekly rehearsals will focus on the objectives of the new French curriculum, which emphasizes the importance of the performing arts, involvement in a collective project and participation in cultural and artistic events.

In the following link, please find a video announcing this 11th annual Festival, where you will recognize many of our students who participated last year:
